Why a case matters
Clip-shut plastic cases for four AA or five AAA cells, in white and in the gray of the pro line.
Loose cells in a drawer or a pocket can touch keys or coins, and a short circuit heats a cell fast. Panasonic’s FAQ asks you to keep cells away from metal and to carry them in a plastic case. The FAA asks the same of spare cells in a carry-on.
Two colors make a simple system: white for standard cells, gray for pro, or one color for charged and one for empty.
One case holds a spare set from the eneloop line in a bag or a drawer.
