eneloop Advanced Quick Charger CC55

Six chargers, all of them charging AA and AAA one slot at a time: two overnight, two quick, one with eight slots and one that runs from USB.

The CC17 and CC75 are overnight chargers, about seven hours for four AA and nine for four pro AA. The CC55 and CC65 are quick chargers at about three hours for four AA and four for pro, and the CC65 adds an LCD panel. The CC63 takes eight cells at once. The CC87 runs from a USB port, so it charges in a car or from a power bank.

Each slot is controlled on its own, so you can charge one cell or four, AA and AAA together. Panasonic’s instructions for the CC55 limit it to rechargeable NiMH cells, used indoors, between 0 and 35 °C. Alkaline cells do not go in.

Each charger takes every cell in the eneloop line, standard and pro, AA and AAA.

eneloop chargers: questions

Can you charge other brands of NiMH cells in an eneloop charger?

The chargers are made for eneloop and eneloop pro, and Panasonic’s instructions say rechargeable NiMH only. Use the cells the charger was designed around.

Which eneloop charger gets your cells back fastest?

The CC55 and CC65 are the quick ones: about three hours for four standard AA and four hours for four pro AA, by Panasonic’s figures. Two cells finish sooner.

Can you charge eneloop AA and AAA together?

Yes. Every slot works on its own, so AA and AAA can sit side by side in any of the six chargers.
