Where AAA cells end up

Standard eneloop AAA and eneloop pro AAA, in every pack size on sale. The figures on each row come from the packs themselves.
AAA cells live in remotes, mice, headlamps, toothbrush timers and toys. A standard eneloop AAA prints 850 mAh typical and 800 minimum, a pro AAA 980 typical and 930 minimum. One pro AAA pack still on sale carries the older label of 950 and 900, and its row says so.
Remotes and mice are where standard AAA earns its keep: they sip power for months, and a cell rated to keep 70% of its charge after ten years suits a device you forget about. A headlamp on a night hike is where pro AAA pays back.
The AAA cells of the eneloop lineup charge in the same slots as the AA, one at a time.
eneloop AAA batteries: questions
Why does one eneloop pro AAA pack you see here show different figures?
Panasonic revised the label. Most pro AAA packs now print 980 mAh typical and 930 minimum, and one pack size still prints 950 and 900. We show each pack with its own figures.
Is eneloop AAA worth it for your TV remote?
A remote runs months on a set, so a rechargeable pays back slowly there. What it saves you is the trip for new batteries, and standard eneloop keeps its charge through the long wait between swaps.
